Painting Guide:
Concrete
New or unpainted surface
· Remove dirt, dust, grit, loose mortar, oil, grease, and other contaminants. New concrete must be cured at least 28 days or at manufacturers recommendation before paint application.
· Wipe clean the surface before paint application
Old or previously painted surface
· Remove all loose, peeling, chalking or blistering paint, dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants.
· Treat mold or fungus infestation with bleaching solution (1 part bleach and 3 parts water)
· Wipe clean the surface before paint application
Application:
· 1st coat - Universal Floor Master Deep Penetrating Sealer.
· Allow 4 hours drying time
· 2nd coat – Universal Floor Master Epoxy Floor Coating Primer.
· Allow 4 hours drying time
· 3rd and 4th coat - Universal Floor Master Chlorinated Rubber Based Paint of desired color with light sanding in between coats.
· Allow 4 hours intercoat interval
Tip: Use Universal Floor Master Chlorinated Rubber Base Reducer for thinning. Do not use or add more than 10%.
