Painting Guide:

Concrete

New or unpainted surface

·         Remove dirt, dust, grit, loose mortar, oil, grease, and other contaminants. 

·         New concrete must be cured at least 28 days or at manufacturers recommendation before paint application.

Old or previously painted surface

·         Remove all loose, peeling, chalking or blistering paint, dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants. 

·         Treat mold or fungus infestation with bleaching solution (1 part bleach and 3 parts of water)

·         Wipe clean the surface before paint application.

Metal

New or unpainted surface

·         Ensure that the metal surface is free from oil, grease, rust and, other surface contaminants.

·         Remove thin rust by wire brushing, by sanding or scraping. Use Professional Rust Converter for severe rust. 

·         Wipe clean the surface before paint application  

Old or previously painted surface

·         Remove all loose, peeling, chalking or blistering paint, dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants by wire brushing or scraping.

·         Wipe clean the surface before paint application

Application:

·         1st coat - Universal Road Master Traffic Paint.

·         Allow 8 hours intercoat interval.

·         2nd coat - Universal Road Master Traffic Paint of desired reflectance & color.

·         Allow 8 hours drying time.
